Mass Transit

Infrastructure

Good physical transport connectivity is essential for economic growth. Mobility is key to the functioning of a liveable and sustainable Singapore.

Singapore’s target for 2030 is to expand the rail network to about 360 km. By then, eight in ten households will live within ten minutes of a train station. With 360 km of rail network, Singapore will have a total rail length that is longer than major cities such as Tokyo or Hong Kong today, and comparable to London and New York City.
